Known. A gold mask was found in a noble's tomb.

The tomb is in Zhengzhou, by the Yellow River, about 600 kilometres northwest of Shanghai. The mask is about 3,000 years old, from the Shang dynasty (1600–1046 BC). It is gold, and it is large enough to cover a grown person's face. The tomb also held more than 200 other objects, including bronze, jade, gold leaves, and gold coins shaped like shells.

Scholars still need more finds before they can say this mask is directly linked to the gold masks at Sanxingdui.
