No royal burial was proved.

Debated. Luxury objects and a paired grave only suggest that the burial was royal.

Twenty-one tombs were found on a remote mountainside at the Changsha site in Hunan, just over 1,000 kilometres southwest of Shanghai. They are about 2,000 years old, from the Western Han period (about 200 BC to 25 AD). The old Changsha Kingdom was in this region. The dig found more than 200 objects. One tomb was full of pottery. Some tombs have passageways and some do not. One rare tomb had two layers, iron objects, glazed walls, and a patterned disc of talc. A pair of tombs may have been for a husband and wife.

Archaeologists say the tombs likely belonged to a royal family, but the page does not show that this was proved.
