Known. Silver rings were hidden under a wooden floor.
The hoard was at Viggbyholm, in Täby, outside Stockholm, Sweden. It is about 1,000 years old. Archaeologists found eight silver neck rings, arm rings, a finger ring, coins, and pearls. A linen pouch in a small pot held coins, the finger ring, two pearls, and 12 coin pendants. Some coins come from Bohemia, Bavaria, England, and France. Five are Arabic silver coins.
Experts are still not sure why the silver was hidden, though they think it was buried in a hurry and never collected.
