A women's place where stone tools were made.

Avon Downs, Australia. about 430 to 7,000 years ago. First cities. Known. Free

Known. Stone tools were made for thousands of years at a women's place in Jangga Country.

The place is Avon Downs, also called Thirteen Mile Creek, in Central Queensland. About 1,500 stones were recorded on the surface and in the ground. They date from about 430 years ago to about 7,000 years ago. Finds include drill points, a grinding stone, and an axe that was not yet ground and polished. Jangga Elders say the place has always been forbidden to men.

The page does not say what is still argued.
