No one has shown that the people buried here were warrior-traders.
Debated. A stone tomb with two rooms was found under a town square.
The tomb is in the main square of San Juan Ixcaquixtla, in Mexico. It is about 1,500 years old. The two rooms are about four metres by two metres. Three burials inside date to about AD 100 to 650. The remains of at least 20 people were there. Finds include about 150 clay pots, a carved human bone, a small offering axe, and three U-shaped stones linked with the ball game.
A lead archaeologist only suspects a family line of merchant-warriors. That is not proved.
