Known. A woman was buried with a panel of macaw feathers.
The grave is at Áspero, in Peru, in the Huaca de los Ídolos. She dates from between 3000 and 1800 BC, in the time of the Caral people. She was wrapped in cotton cloth, reed mats, and plant fibres. With her were the feather panel, a toucan beak with green and brown beads, a shell from the Amazon, baskets, weaving tools, and a fishing net.
Her name is not known. The gifts suggest a high place in her community, but that is read from the objects, not from writing.
