A silver bowl with about 25 signs

Issyk kurgan, near Almaty, Kazakhstan. the 4th century BC. Greece and Rome. Unexplained. Debated. Free

A full reading of the signs was not shown.

Debated. People do not agree what the signs say.

The Issyk kurgan is about 50 kilometres east of Almaty, in south-eastern Kazakhstan. In a burial from the 4th century BC, there was a young person and a small silver bowl. About 25 signs are cut into the bowl. Gold clothes later gave the buried person the nickname Golden Man. The page does not give that as a real name.

A 2023 team offered a partial reading and linked the signs to a later script. Earlier readings do not match it. The full text is still not agreed.
