A general's belt of ancient aluminium was not shown.
Debated. The metal test is not settled.
At Yixing, in Jiangsu, China, an old tomb held a skeleton and 17 pieces of a belt. The leather had rotted. The pieces lay around the hips. Some were silver or copper. Tests said some others were almost all aluminium, with copper and manganese mixed in. The page says an inscription led people to call this the tomb of a 3rd-century general. It also says that tomb is not in the official record.
People still argue whether those pieces are ancient aluminium, or modern metal left behind later.
